Purim is my absolute favorite holiday and it's approaching!! I know because I own a calendar and also because that's when the entire internet seems to be busting at the seams with new variations on classic Hamentashen. Think of any food in the universe and odds are, someone turned it into a Hamentash. The creativity is nothing short of astounding and each one looks and sounds more delicious than the last. Wasabi Pea Crusted Chicken
I never really cared for wasabi peas. I like wasabi and I like peas but together, i just don't get it. Don't ask me why I bought them. I must've been really hungry and slightly hopeful while shopping. We all know the dangers of shopping while hungry. It's when you fall victim to overbuying random things you don't even like. But I digress.. Pumpkins and apples and cider and cinnamon and cloves make me swoon and I'll take them over fresh peaches and berries any day. Sorry, summer. I'm over you. This apple cinnamon popcorn totally hit the spot as the perfect segue into fall while the weather out there still feels like summer. ...continue reading "Apple Cinnamon Popcorn"
Hidden Veggie Meat Sauce
I'm not a sneaky person. I don't believe in tricking anyone into eating anything because I wouldn't want to be tricked, myself. Howeverrrr, I totally get it. Sometimes you've just gotta do what you've gotta do in order to make the little people eat. No judgement here. On the contrary, here's some help! This hidden veggie meat sauce is so good, it fooled the adults at the table too. Not that I was being sneaky about it.. but I could've been.
